Goals:

  • I have strong human interaction skills, but also wide knowledge when dealing with Optics and Microwave technology. I would like to work in an industry that would challenge me and give me the chance to do some individual problem solving, but work in a group and come to a collective solution.

  • Completed five years in the Engineering Physics and Management Program.
  • Specialization in Geometric Optics, and Microwave systems, with other courses that include Nuclear Power, Semiconductors and Lasers and other EM waves.

  • Created Laboratories for an undergraduate course in Electro-Magnetics.
  • Worked completely without supervision.
  • Transcribed course notes for a graduate course in microwave antenna design.

  • Built GPS signal systems to carry the signal from the roof to the basement.
  • Tested faulty products identify problems locations and solutions
  • Provided support for ongoing projects
  • Redesigned antenna feed for a smaller size but with same output power

Student Walk Home Attendant Team (SWHAT),
  • Received the award for the top volunteer (2001).
  • Received award for top Dispatch Volunteer for September (1998).
  • Received award for one of the four top volunteer of the Year (1997-1998).
  • Trained as a walker since January 1997, trained as a dispatcher since September 1997.
  • Chance to meet different people from all programs on campus.


1984-1997

All Levels, Scouting,
  • Spearheaded 9 Hug-a-Tree and Survive courses to Beavers, Cubs and the Odawa Support Team in the Odawa Area during the winter of 1994.
  • Taught 20 Boatwise Courses to people of different ages, in scouting and to the general public.
  • Led 3 Beaver Rambles (Hikes) in the woods around Blackburn Hamlet (Ottawa region).
  • These experiences helped me work with other people of different ages and backgrounds. The presentations helped me gain confidence to do presentations in front of people and how to talk "to them" and not "at them".


Training and other skills:

  • Familiar with Quattro Pro, Excel, WordPerfect, Microsoft Word, Lotus, HTML, Programming in C and Matlab and the operating systems Linux, MS-DOS and Windows. Always willing to learn more.
  • Excellent command of both oral and written English
  • Very strong abilities in communicating in French and English
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Completed the Scouts Canada Trainer Development 1, 1995
  • Helped develop Scouts Canada/RCMP "Hug-a-Tree and Survive" course, 1994-1995
  • Achieved the highest level possible in Scouting for youth, the Queen's Venturer Award, 1994
  • Participated in the Canadian Jamboree in the Venturer Service Program, 1993
  • Completed Radio Telephone Operator's Certificate for Sea (1992), Land (1994)
  • Completed the Royal Canadian Life Saving Society's Basic Canoe and Boat Rescue 1995
  • Completed the Power and Sail Squadron's Boating course, 1995
  • Experienced with metal, woodworking machinery and power tools, Basic drafting skills


Interests and hobbies:

  • Like to juggle and play music (Level 4 Royal Conservatory of music)
  • Play soccer and many other sports

  • Working towards P.Eng.
